Remember that scene in the film City Slickers… Curly: “Do you know what the secret of life is? One thing. Just one thing. You stick to that and the rest don’t mean sNOTHIN.”

I recently observed that Reed Hastings, the CEO and founder of Netflix, is listed #4 on the list of 100 Most Creative People in Business. I like this quote from Hastings: “I learned it is better to do one product well than two products in a mediocre way.”

Perhaps the key to your success in life and business, and your impact in leadership and ministry is linked to your ability to eliminate the many good things you are doing mediocre and narrow your focus down to that ONE great thing you can do with excellence.

What is that ONE thing in your life?
